Consistency is the key to getting to your goals. Show up, build the habit until it feels weird not having exercise as part of your day. Get stronger, get leaner, feel better, become more healthy, build a machine that is not reliant on the Healthcare system. Be your own Healthcare system. Create a lifestyle that suits you and your goals. Diets are temporary and lead to temporary results. Long term changes lead to the life you have always wanted. If you need any help I am here!

I'm turning 36 in less than a week and a month and a half ago I said to myself I wanted to dial it in. I said I would workout everyday until my birthday so far I have done just that. Lots of cardio and normal amount of weights maybe a little more. You need to make your goals more important than how you feel each day. You need to attack them because it's worth it. Below is some cario pictures and a picture of me from 2015 before a show. I am in good shape, but when you have taken your body as far as it will go naturally you remember what you can do. What you are capable of. I hope you guys are crushing your goals!

Just finished a program for a good friend. Met her at the gym to go over what she will be doing three times a week. She gave me her fitness goals and said she could do 3 days a week. I tailored her program around her goals and her time. I also said if she goes 3 days a week and doesn't have results after a month I would give her her money back. Consistency is key. I also said to text me anytime with and questions and that if she wants to go a 4th day I'll let her know what to do in that case. Nothing to lose.

As many of you know I have been loyal to the same gym(Court Jester) for about half of my life now with the exception of moving out of the area for a year. I am always interested to see people come and go over the years. Familiar faces and new faces. Recently there has been a guy around my age who is probably 350-400lbs. I first noticed him a couple months ago. He has been very consistent and has been working his ass off. I have been watching from a distance. I am proud of him for showing up when I am sure it has been hard. It's great to see him there working towards his goals. He had made significant improvements and I know for a fact he will have a transformation that will be impressive. I am here to help him when he is ready. Just some positive thoughts and observations recently. I hope you are all having a great week!

Intermittent FASTING!

Have you tried it?!

I have been doing it most days of the week 5-6 days a week usually for the last few months and I feel great! At first it didn't make sense from a standpoint of wanting to maintain muscle, but I have been able to do that while getting more lean over the last few months. I eat my last meal most days around 7pm and then I don't eat again until noon the following day. This cuts down your window of time for eating which will decrease your calories. Give it a try and see what you think. It may be weird at first, but once you get used to it it isn't bad. Also if your extremely active at work this may not be an option. I don't want you passing out at work!

HABITS make or break our lives. With good habits time is on your side, with bad habits time is your enemy. Was listening to a podcast recently with James Clear who wrote the book Atomic Habits and there were many great nuggets throughout. If your struggling with going to the gym plan to go for 15 minutes 2 or three days a week. Pick the days, pick the times. Put them in your calendar. Set out your clothes in a bag the night before. Plan to get there then do it. 15 minutes a couple times a week. Once you have made that habit you can then do another day or another 5 min for 20 minutes per time. The point is to not burn yourself out too soon with too much. Consistency has always been key. The heaviest weight at the gym is often the front door.

"Those who think they have not time for bodily exercise will sooner or later have to make time for illness." Edward Stanley

I have heard versions of this quote over the years and it always rings true!

On Saturdays I have been working with a new client who is 77 years old. He simply wants to feel more confident with day to day activities. He doesn't feel confident about walking fast without feeling like he may fall. Stairs have become a chore over the years. We have been working on balance as well as strengthening his lower body, upper body to allow him to move with more confidence and to assist him with his daily tasks that we often take for granted in our younger years. I show up at his house ready to go. It has been a great experience so far and it's very rewarding working with him and helping him feel more comfortable with stairs, walking, being able to do what were once simple tasks. Having worked with athletes preparing to dominate in sports to people who want to look better, feel better, become more healthy or in this case maintain independence with age all goals and all levels have been welcome over the year!
