The native Skunk Cabbage has started to flower in the yard along the lake. Unique flowers that can actually generate heat early in the spring to melt snow and attract pollinator insects. I will take a few more photos when fully open.

The more I use edge blocks and stone mulch the more I like it. Simple, small project but eliminates w**ding, spade edging and spreading bark mulch. 1 time investment and done. There is w**d barrier under the ballist stone.

The goal was a naturalistic irregular entry walk. It's a bit of a jigsaw puzzle and I think we made it work. Incidentally, the client was my son who worked side by side and daughter in law who supervised as needed so the bar was high.
