Maine Forest and Logging Museum The Maine Forest and Logging Museum, Inc. The Museum is also host to 4 working Lombards: 3 loghaulers--2 steam-powered, 1 gas-powered--and a Lombard dumptruck.

Maine Forest and Logging Museum celebrates Maineโ€™s rich forestry and logging history through education, demonstration, preservation, and conservation; fostering curiosity and enjoyment for all ages; and inspires & encourages others to join our efforts. is a nonprofit organization incorporated in 1960 dedicated to keeping alive the forest industry of long ago for the present-day citizens of the State of Maine. Located on approximately 400 acres on Blackman Stream in Bradley, Leonard's Mills is at the actual site of an early pioneer settlement, identified by the remains of a stone dam and the foundations of several houses. Today, Leonard's Mills is "alive" once again, as the Museum is represented by an authentic reconstruction of a logging and milling community of the 1790s. The Museum, through our Living History site at Leonard's Mills, teaches people of all ages about the forest and logging history of Maine.

๐Ÿ WE ARE JUST DAYS AWAY FROM OUR BIGGEST EVENT OF THE YEAR! ๐Ÿ

Fall is always a special time at the Maine Forest and Logging Museum, but Living History Days makes it even better. Between the changing leaves, the crisp air, the smell of wood smoke, and history coming alive throughout the grounds, itโ€™s one of our favorite ways to close out the event season.

๐Ÿ”ฅ And this year, we have some especially good news... THEREโ€™S NO BURN BAN, SO BEAN HOLE BEANS ARE ON THE MENU! ๐Ÿซ˜

Speaking of food, Salt and Cedar Food Truck will be on site Saturday on the lower campus, so come hungry!

๐Ÿด Weโ€™ll also have our popular horse-drawn wagon rides, along with our amazing reenactors, demonstrators, and volunteers bringing Maineโ€™s past to life throughout the museum.

Join us Saturday, October 3 or Sunday, October 4 for a day in the woods, explore the museum grounds, discover Maineโ€™s forestry and logging heritage, and enjoy everything Living History Days has to offer.
