Hello all!
After five incredible years spent with amazing children and their families, I have made the difficult and bittersweet decision to close Seeds to Trees Childcare.
This decision has not been an easy one. Seeds to Trees has been such a meaningful part of my life, and I am incredibly grateful for every child and family who has been part of this journey. What started as a vision to provide a childcare that would foster children’s love of nature in a safe and loving environment, became much more than that and it’s been so much more than a job.
It has been a place where children have grown, explored, created, taken risks, gotten messy (parents can vouch for this one!), learned to ask big questions, and connected with nature and natural experiences. More importantly, it has been a place filled with relationship building, connection, learning empathy and kindness, and lots laughter.
Watching the children grow into confident, capable individuals has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. I have loved watching children grow in confidence, independence, curiosity, and kindness, and I feel incredibly lucky to have been a small part of so many childhoods.
Although I am closing Seeds to Trees, I am excited to share that I have accepted a position as a Mental Health Practitioner, where I will be working with various aged students in the community. This next chapter will allow me to continue working with children and families and, in a different way, continue doing something that has always been incredibly important to me: helping children feel supported, understood, capable, and valued.
I hope to continue making a difference in my community. I will carry everything I have learned and experienced through Seeds to Trees with me into this next chapter.
So…
To the people who have watched this journey and supported Seeds to Trees through positive and loving eyes, thank you.
To my own family. You've been there through it all.
From late night preparations, to early morning snow shoveling, you've assisted in all aspects and have been my biggest supporters. I love you and am so grateful for you.
To the families who have trusted me with your children, thank you will never feel like enough. Thank you for trusting me, supporting me, sharing your children with me, and allowing me to be part of their lives. Your families have become such a special part of my story. Your children are amazing. The work you’re doing with them matters and you are doing a beautiful job. Be so proud. ❤️
And to all of the children who have filled my days with laughter, endless amounts of questions, big imaginations, hugs, “I love yous”, and wonderfilled adventures: thank you. You have taught and given me so much more than you can know. Every one of you will always and forever hold a special place in my heart.
Always remember your daily affirmations:
🌲I am kind.
🌲I am a good friend.
🌲I can do hard things.
❤️I am loved.
With so much love and gratitude my friends,
Brittni 🤟🏼
