This is in the same category as the classic definition of the word "chutzpah," about the boy who murders his parents and then pleads to the court for mercy on the grounds he's an orphan.

The 35-year-old was sentenced to life without parole on what would have been her husband's 44th birthday.

I haven't been following California politics too closely since I moved back east, but this ad is very well done. California is a beautiful state, Los Angeles is a great city, and I support any move that can pull them back from the edge of the abyss that these so-called progressive politicians have led them to.

This is especially relevant now in the wake of the NYT's choosing to publish its spurious, anti-Israel op-ed ahead of the Civil Commission's publishing of the "Silenced No More" report on Hamas's use of sexual violence in the October 7 massacres. The Times had access to the report prior to its publication, and it hurried to publish Kristof's screed, in a sleazy attempt to frame Hamas's actions as a reaction to Israel's actions.

Israel announced plans to sue the Times. It's a long shot (remember Ariel Sharon's "moral victory" attempting the same thing after Sabra and Shatila) but I hope they win and force the Times to shut down. Kristof himself deserves a gruesome fate worthy of his fetishistic fantasies, and I'll leave it at that.

Pronoun Peeve Time!

No, it's not what you think it is!

This is about PROPER USAGE! Specifically, the use of the subjective (nominative) case for pronouns!

You say,
"He and his wife have committed over $10B to charity",
NOT
"Him and his wife have committed over $10B to charity"!
Because if it were just him, the subject of the sentence, you would say
"He has committed over $10B to charity",
and not
"Him has committed over $10B to charity"!

Likewise, you say,
"She and her husband Bobby, well, they split up",
NOT
"Her and her husband Bobby, well, they split up"!
Because if it were just her you were speaking about, you'd say
"She split up with her husband Bobby,"
NOT
"Her split up with her husband Bobby"!
