Our hearts are heavy as we process the tragic and disturbing news from the recent NBHA event, where several horses were reportedly harmed by the intentional actions of a fellow competitor.

As horse owners, trainers, riders, and caretakers, we dedicate our lives to the well-being of these incredible animals. They trust us completely, and that trust is something we should never take for granted. The thought of any horse suffering at the hands of someone within our own equine community is heartbreaking beyond words.

Today, we stand with the owners, riders, families, and horses affected by this senseless act. We are praying for healing, justice, and peace for everyone involved. We also want to recognize the veterinarians, event staff, and fellow competitors who stepped up to care for these horses during such a difficult time.

The horse world is built on sportsmanship, integrity, and a shared love for our animals. Moments like this remind us how important it is to protect that foundation and to look out for one another.

Please join us in keeping the affected horses and their families in your thoughts and prayers. May these horses make full recoveries, and may our equine community continue to come together in support, compassion, and strength.

The team did last minute preparations and headed out to the MS Horses HOH pony challenge at the Kirk Fordice Equine Center on Thursday! It was a bitter sweet moment. The youth worked diligently to tame their ponies and prepare for this day and only one is coming home to stay, Soldier Boy! Phantom is still available.

I’m just so proud of these youth and pony partners!

If you’ve been watching the HOH Pony Challenge ponies at Strong River, two of these incredible ponies trained here will be available for adoption after the show this weekend! I have personally watched their transformation and praise their handlers! Consider adopting any of these fantastic Shetlands, although I am partial to Honey and Phantom 🤗. Let’s find them homes! We want to take a moment to recognize two incredibly special members of our Strong River family—Andre and his sister, Monique 🤍

Andre rides with us every Saturday, and he is truly something special. He’s blind, but that never holds him back—his kindness, sense of humor, and determination light up the entire barn. Being around him is a reminder of what really matters.

Monique is just as amazing—loving, caring, and always by his side with unwavering support. The bond they share is something truly beautiful to witness.

When they told us, “Y’all have made such a positive influence in both of our lives,” it meant more than words can express. The truth is—you’ve made a lasting impact on us, too.
