"Some of us woke up feeling joyful and full of hope today and others woke up feeling full of despair and anxiety, including family members, friends and others whom I dearly love and respect.

I maintain most of us want the same thing, we just disagreed on who was the best candidate to get us to that place. None of them were without flaws. They are each imperfectly human. We need to go back to remembering it’s ok if we disagree. We have opinions and this is America, after all. We don’t need to be condescending or trash people for simply having a different opinion.

I continue to pray for unity, safety, peace, prosperity and common sense. Not looking for anyone to agree with me or go off on a rant against me.

Let’s just love each other, including those with divergent opinions, and remember who is in the White House doesn’t matter because our Lord is on the throne".

Asking for a prayer. We are getting an online prayer circle going. My love to everyone who reads this. Let's pray for each other and all of those affected by hurricane Helene today & incoming Milton because prayers are needed right now. I ask my family and friends wherever you might be, to post this status for one hour, to whisper a prayer for all of those who have family problems, health struggles, job issues, or worries of any kind and just need to know that someone cares. Do it for all of us, for nobody is immune. I hope to see this on the walls of my family and friends. I did it for someone else, and you can too ! 💜🙏🏻💜

School starts tomorrow, A little kindness goes a long way!

Sit with your child for 5 minutes and explain that there’s NEVER a reason to make fun of someone for their height, their weight, their skin tone, their home life or the things they enjoy.

Explain there’s NOTHING wrong with wearing the same shoes every day.
Explain to them that a used backpack carries the same dreams as a new one.
Teach them NOT to exclude anyone for "being different"
Explain to them that teasing HURTS and that school is for going to LEARN, NOT to compete or spread negativity.

Remind them some kids don’t go home to loving families so it’s important to be KIND. It all starts at HOME!!!

Bullying HURTS and sadly can kill…we need more LOVE/kindness and less HATE!!! It doesn’t cost anything to be kind and it can make the BIGGEST difference in the life of our youth.
