As this summer’s heating up, so is my belly getting bigger! 🤰🏻🍼👶🏻 (If you see me in sweats, oversized T-Shirts, and other loose clothing, mind ya business! 🤪)

Our Milly certainly is already inheriting a wealth of needlework art, some which are family heirlooms:
1.) Photos 1 & 2 - my old childhood quilt given to me by my Grandma, Milly’s great-grandma. The blocks themselves were hand-made by Grandma, and quilted and sewn together by my great-aunt Marjorie.
2.) Photo 3 - A Noah’s ark baby quilt cross-stitched by Grandma. Grandma had me do the quilting part, in exchange for me saving this for my first child (Milly 🎀).
3.) Photo 4 - crossed-stitch art made by my mom, or Milly’s Lola!
4.) Photos 5 & 6 - two of my first pillow projects from when I learned how to quilt (Photo 5 needs some re-stitching from the yellow flower block! 😆🤷🏻‍♀️)
5.) Photos 7-10 - my latest project, the square scrap baby quilt, which all started with a set of 2x2” square fabrics sewn together for years and buried deep in my fabric stash and that are featured in Photo 9 (minus the green-and-white square). 😂 Hope that Milly grows to love and cherish this quilt and remembers me by this, especially when she’s all grown up and I’m long gone. 🩷

It may be a few months before Milly’s birth, but already she is loved by lots of family and friends who can’t wait to meet her, as well as receiving a legacy of family treasures! 💕💗🪡🧵

Some happies for the caregivers of my maternal grandmother, Lola Tess! Thank you Rosielyn and Joy for all that you do for her! We are forever grateful to have you both tirelessly take care of her. (She still looks good for 94!)🩷❤️💐

🪁💛🖤 Experimenting making pet clothes for the first time, courtesy of my old sorority toiletry bag with the broken zipper, pictured in the last slide. (Put 15+ years worth of good use out of it!)

Mable Marie reppin’ my sorority letters…the closest to a daughter ever carrying on my ΚΑΘ legacy (unless I have a daughter that ends up going to college with a Theta chapter, like Vandy or 😝LSU or Theta ends up returning to my alma mater! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽)
