WEOC is back! Saturday, September 19 at Vermont State University in Randolph. A whole day of workshops, a great lunch, and tons of opportunities to invest in your economic future.

What do YOU love about West Brattleboro?

West Brattleboro Connects , convened by Angela Gray of Thrifting New England, hosted an amazing community day in August, and followed that day up with a conversation and networking night with about 16 people this past week to talk about challenges and highlight opportunities.

While transportation and visibility can be challenging, there is a lot of open land and community feeling in West Bratt, not to mention really great businesses and organizations, and we're excited to see what projects and collaborations begin to grow.

I've been really impressed with the intentionality our auto dealer members put into being good neighbors and corporate citizens.

From innumerable local sponsorships to volunteer hours to community events, they are truly investing in our region's success.

I love how both of these candidates are leaning into strategic plans for using the Lt Governor's role (traditionally seen as somewhat ceremonial) to Get. Stuff. Done. Thank you to Molly Gray and John Rodgers for sharing their policy priorities in our forum yesterday, to Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation for partnering on the event, and to the American Legion for the unexpected and super tasty butternut squash lasagna!

Getting out to visit members is my favorite thing! (Especially when they're this cute)

Thanks to Violet at the Windham County Humane Society for letting me snuggle the animals, and filling me in on some of the amazing things they're up to, such as the Hot Firefighters (+ pets) Calendar, the Walk for Animals (Sept 12) - these are both incredibly fun initiatives, not to be missed!

I also recently got to visit with Anthony at Community Bank, N.A. , Don at Fulflex , Severia at ByWay Books & More , Angela at Thrifting New England, and Nina at Pine Heights at Brattleboro Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation ... I promise to get better at remembering to whip out my phone for more commemorative photos. (Feel free to remind me when I visit YOU!)
