Have you seen the coffee table book, The Art of the Studio, by WHERE & WHAT Women Create ?

It’s a real beauty!

Honored to be featured here, along with 70 other creatives.

My story is under the section, “Creative Sanctuaries”, which it’s “not just about a workspace, but a sacred place where the, body, mind and spirit align.”

Photos by Joanna Fiona (she’s also featured in the book) along with Anna Harris , and many more ♥️

Why am I on the river talking about real estate in the middle of the work week???

Well… because I can. 😉

I’ve never been wired for the traditional 9–5 . I’d much rather build a life where work fits around the things I love—including being outside on a beautiful summer day. ☀️💦

Building my own business gave me that freedom years ago. Real estate is helping me create the financial foundation to keep it.

So yes, we’re going to be talking a little more about real estate around here—but probably not from a desk.

Welcome to Real Estate on the River. 🌊🏡

⭐️ Part 3: Your Brand Story

In my last two posts, we talked about how vital it is to create a “through-line” to help tie your mult-faceted brand together.

Once you have that, you can start to look at your content pillars that fit under your brand.

As a reminder, my through-line or driving force is:
BIG VISION + PRACTICAL EX*****ON.

These are the topics that drive me and fit within my personal brand story:

Real estate = building assets
Business = building income
Travel = enjoying the freedom you’ve built
Nature = remembering why you’re building it

Brand evolution: I’ve been talking business + travel for years. As I evolve, so is my content. So moving forward my intention is to bring in more about building assets through real estate. I have a lot to say on this one!

And nature- it’s a big part of my life. Mostly I imagine nature will come through my brand story through visuals.

Your action step: if you haven’t already, ask yourself what your driving force or “through-line” is. If you’ve done this before, ask what it is NOW. From there, you can begin to play with your topics, adding in the ones that fit within your evolved brand story.

If you need support, DM the words BRAND STORY for a convo!

Part 2: Your Brand Story

In part one I shared my “through-line” or what ties my multifaceted brand together.

Mine is: Big vision + practical ex*****on

Part two is about how I came up with this & how it plays out for me.

I came up with this by asking myself to paraphrase a part of my essence that plays out in my business, kind of like a driving force.

Trust me, I didn’t come up with this in the first sitting.
It’s very personal & I had to dig deep.

I’m very dreamy, but also action oriented. This comes directly from my mother, who is very practical and my father who was a dreamer. I got an even mix.

Here’s how this plays through my business/life:

My dream:
💗 A career that uniquely fits my lifeSTYLE aspirations
🌎 Travel / Access to beautiful spaces / homes
💰 Long term wealth building

My actions:
💻 Invented a small business that’s allowed me to work from anywhere for the past 12 yrs
🌺 This biz pays me to travel to beautiful places
🏡 Created a stream of income through real estate investing. Now have 3 doors 🚪 🚪🚪

Looking at your life & business, what pops out to you as your through line / driving force?

This is the thing that will pull your brand story together ♥️

What ties your brand together?

I’ve been thinking a lot about my business evolution lately, and this is the core…

PART 1: YOUR BRAND STORY

As a multi passionate biz owner, we tend to have a hard time explaining what we do + how it all ties together in a way that other people can understand, am I right?

Something that could help is a short statement, like a mission statement or you might call it a through line.

If you have a personal brand, this might be what drives you, or something even deeper- like your essence.

Here’s mine:

BIG VISION + PRACTICAL EX*****ON

In Part 2, I’ll share how I came up with this and how it plays out in my business and life.

Before I went to the water, my mind was spinning with a long to do list for my business & life.

Jumping into the cold water was an immediate reset, leaving me feeling lighter, clearer, and more grounded.

For the multi-passionate creatives, entrepreneurs, and dreamers who are always juggling a million things… this is your sign to step away from the screen and reconnect with nature- and yourself.

Sometimes the best ideas don’t come from doing more.

They come when we let go.

Being self-employed can be quite lonely 😔

Having an accountability biz buddy can help 💗

Here are 3 things to look for in your biz buddy;

1. Seek someone who is equally passionate because it’s draining if someone consistently doesn’t do what they say they’re gonna do.

2. Look for someone who believes in you and can lift you up when you’re down.

3. Find a consistent meeting time. I like 30 minutes once a week. Put it in your calendar as a nonnegotiable.

If you have more accountability tips, please add them below.

Make sure to follow along for becoming or staying self- employed ⚡️⚡️
