Congratulations to Lyssa Schneckenburger on the release of her new album "Falling Forward". We recorded the project at Ghost Hit Recording and mixed at Black Mountain Audio. It's always a pleasure working with Lyssa.

Happy day after Thanksgiving (i.e. the day of leftovers).
Even in this time of COVID, we still have things to be thankful for. Musicians continue to make music, and thanks to technology, they are able to collaborate and share their music. Black Mountain Audio is fortunate to have been involved with a few recent CD projects.

The first two months of 2020 have been busy with
recording/live sound projects including the Champian Fulton Quartet at the Vermont
Jazz Center, The Northern Roots festival at the BMC, the BUHS production of "Oliver! The Musical",
The Rock Voices Choir, and mixing sessions for Tony V***a's Senegal-America Project.

I had the opportunity to mix a great show last night at Next Stage in Putney featuring Antje Duvekot and Matt Nakoa.
One of the highlights was seeing them perform together.

The Vermont Jazz Center recently hosted an amazing concert with Cuban musicians
Alfredo Rodriguez and Pedrito Martinez. Black Mountain Audio recorded the event, and provided house sound.
The percussion set-up was quite elaborate and we used 15 mics to cover it!

Singer-songwriter Caitlin Canty and Maine-based duo the Oshima Brothers played to an appreciative audience last night at Next Stage.

Rock Voices Chorus performed their Spring concert at First Churches of Northampton.

Last week was busy with live performances.
Thursday I ran sound for a great show with Alasdair Fraser and Natalie Haas at Next Stage in Putney.
Friday and Saturday I recorded the Solo Jazz Piano Festival evening performances
at the Vermont Jazz Center. George Cables was a featured performer.

Last night I brought my gear down to the Hawks and Reed Performing Arts Center to record the group
"Do It Now" with Tony V***a, Paul Richmond, John Sheldon, and Jo Sallins. The second set featured
special guest Joe Nerney on saxophone. It was a great night of poetry and improvised World Fusion music.

The Amidon and Murphy/Tracy families held their Last Night Concert at a new venue this year, the Centre Congregational Church in Brattleboro.
