What better way to say Thank You than to take a picture with an employee, complete the survey on your receipt and finally Yelp and publish the photo!

That's been my way of saying Thank You to essential workers for over a year. Everyone from employees at the DMV, to my local Moustache Mike's.

Today's shout-out goes to Nicole, Gisel, Pete, and Kathy at The Home Depot in Brea, after all we all know it takes a village.

The humility and gratitude the team expressed knowing they were collectively contributing to recognition for one of their co-workers was truly heartwarming!

I believe "people are at the heart of the company" and today was a great example of how deeply team members value and appreciate each other.

National Customer Service Week is an awesome reminder to continue to recognize exceptional customer service and, in this instance, the amazing essential workers who give it their all in every moment of everyday!

Super excited and humbled to be interviewed by Japanese reporters, all about Ohtani-san!

What started as a night to root for the Los Angeles Angels turned into a cool opportunity to answer questions about Shohei, I'm sure my shirt let them know I'm a fan!

The reporters threw questions at me with the speed and accuracy of Ohtani's pitches! One truly resonated with me, "What's one word I would use to describe Shohei?"

"Determination" I replied, I'm inspired by his determination to give it his all during every moment leading up to, during and after the game.

His level of determination to be fully present, doing whatever it takes for the win is amazing! And all while doing so from a place of humility to me is honorable and amazingly powerful.

Shohei's actions create a positive impact for his teammates, coaches, fans (even diehard fans of opposing teams), as well as local and global communities all cheering him on.

It hit me later, they're similar attributes to leaders I've worked for and am currently working with.

Leaders that:
~ Cultivate a positive and productive culture
~ Give it their all during every moment of their day
~ Care for their teams, customers and communities
~ Are focused and fully present, ensuring winning outcomes
~ Remain humble, remembering that their team is why

90 foot drop, spread over 18 feet, crazy insane adrenaline rush!

I know from personal experience as a novice. Class 5 rapids, I totally panicked, it took my breath away.

Good thing we had a leader on our raft that knew what he was doing, and showed us what to do.
