INTERIM AMENDMENT? Has the document provider for your qualified retirement plan contacted you regarding the mandated Interim Amendment?
The required amendment for recent legislative changes must be executed no later than December 31, 2026.
Many of the stipulations/changes should already be in place for the 2024 and 2025 Plan Years.
Time for a conversation with your document provider and your Third Party Administrator (TPA) regarding the next step to formalize the changes and current operation of your retirement plan.
Be advised that the Interim Amendment must be in signed prior to the December 31, 20206 deadline.
Additionally, for defined contribution plans, the CYCLE 4 Restatement period will be upon us shortly thereafter.
