Schramsburg 2022 Blanc de Blanc, North Coast

“The Schramsberg style of Blanc de Blancs is dry and crisp. Small lots of barrel fermented wines, some of which complete malolactic fermentation, are added to stainless-steel fermented wines to create added complexity in the blended base wine. After undergoing a second fermentation in bottle, the wine then ages on its yeast lees for about two years prior to disgorgement. With its vibrant, fruitful and focused nature, this sparkling wine will maintain its freshness, structure and refined finish for many years.”

Robert Craig 2022 ‘La Fleur Craig’ Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa & Sonoma

‘The 2022 Robert Craig Winery La Fleur Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits deeps, saturated color along with spicy, black fruit up front and a sturdy backbone of mineral and tannin. A significant amount of time in new French Oak barrels have rounded out the edges of this young Cabernet and given it a suppleness and integration that can’t be found with less expensive American oak or the dreaded barrel stave flavor treatment. Our La Fleur Cabernet is supple enough to enjoy immediately though it has the structure to benefit from additional cellaring.’

Named for the father of Georges and Daniel Daou, Soul of a Lion is the crown jewel of DAOU, and an emblem of our quest to produce unsurpassed Cabernet Sauvignon from the terroir of DAOU Mountain.

The 2021 vintage displays remarkable intensity in the glass with dark, inky ruby-purple hues. Abundant fruit aromas of black cherry, blackberry, blueberry jam and black currant are interwoven with accents of baking spices, sage and graphite. A voluminous entry introduces sumptuous layers of chocolate-covered blueberry, to***co, mocha, vanilla and toasted oak. The mouthfeel is concentrated and elegant, with round, vibrant tannins that carry into a commanding finish. A wine of immense staying power that will evolve favorably for many years to come.
