I have been a Project Funder for 26 years. I’m the former President of a Los Angeles based Commercial Direct Lender where I was also the Chairman of the Loan Committee.

Debt cripples companies. How many major corporations globally have taken on too much debt and ceased operations because they couldn’t service the debt obligations?

In 2025, corporate bankruptcies reached their highest level in 15 years, with over 700 companies in the U.S. alone filing for bankruptcy. This surge, driven by high interest rates, inflation, and increased debt servicing costs, represents a 14% increase from 2024 and a 101% increase from the 2022 low.

Mega Bankruptcies: Companies with over $1 billion in assets filed for bankruptcy at a high rate, with 17 such filings in the first half of 2025 alone, the highest since 2020.

Crypto-Based Lender Dubai

We have a new Crypto-based loan out of Dubai that may be of interest.

There is no insurance requirement but you do need to maintain 5% of the loan amount in your Crypto Wallet. The minimum loan is $5M ($250,000), the maximum loan is $500M ($25M).
