Why do ants suddenly show up in your kitchen in August? They're not just hungry.. they're thirsty. The argentine ant is one of those most widely distributed "tramp" ants, and their colonies can "bud" and span huge areas! These beady, black/brown ants are known for wide trails. This fuzzy bug, friend or foe? Well, that depends on if your a wasp larvae or trying to pick it up. Today's creature feature is the solitary velvet ant, a type of wasp.
