Lynn Willis is one of the kindest, most badass photographers in the world. Throwing himself in some of the most vulnerable moments to capture beautiful images is only half of Lynn's story. He's been a part of North America's climbing history for decades putting up various first ascents from bouldering to traditional climbing routes. Lynn decided to settle down in western North Carolina in the heart of some of the best discovered and still undiscovered climbing areas. Lynn relishes the opportunity to photograph rare weather patterns and astrological events and his photographs are a staple in many people's homes and businesses across the country. I feel lucky to know Lynn and be able to spend a few days with him telling his story. This piece was created for the . Special thanks to for granting us access after the park was closed.

Over a year and a half ago, I was asked to shoot a feature-length documentary following John Cullen who was diagnoised with Parkinson's Disease. Going into the project, I had no idea the incredible people that would come into my life because of this film. Last weekend was the film's private event premiere. It's running the festival circuit now but I'm really looking forward to seeing how many people's lives are changed because of this film. John, you are an inspiration to all of us. You've created something special with . Diane .my.strong major kudos for having the vision and assembling a killer team to bring John's story to life.
