ποΈ BELIEVE 31 FEATURED ON X101ποΈ
A huge thank you to X101 - wxhc 101.5 fm and Jack Eves for helping us spread the word about Believe 31 and our upcoming An Afternoon of Hope at Heritage Hill with Believe 31

Believe 31 Vice President Pat Quinn joined Dave Denniston, President of the New York State Fire Districts Association, in the studio to talk about this Saturdayβs event and, most importantly, the continued importance of early cancer detection and screening within the fire service.

Saturday will feature esophageal cancer screenings, the Upstate Mammography Van, take-home colon cancer screening kits, and plenty of activities for the entire family. Weβll also have fire apparatus, helicopters, raffle baskets, a 50/50 drawing, Believe 31 apparel, food, beverages, and much more.
One statistic shared during the interview demonstrates exactly why this mission matters: Believe 31 has helped 236 firefighters receive esophageal screenings in 2026, with 42 receiving results requiring additional surveillance and follow-up. A positive screening does not mean a cancer diagnosis, but it can identify individuals who need further evaluation.
Our mission remains simple: support our brothers and sisters, promote early detection, and make sure No One Fights Alone.
Please take a few minutes to listen to the full X101 interview, share it with your fellow firefighters and first responders, and then come spend Saturday afternoon with us at Heritage Hill.
