That’s a wrap on the 20th BOMA St. Louis / IFMA St. Louis Chapter/IREM St. Louis Industry Expo. Year 18 for us.
☺️What an afternoon. I can’t begin to express in words the effect today had on us. Talk about words of encouragement, support, and bountiful hugs from so, so many of you.
🥹I knew today would be emotional. Hearing “you’re so strong”, “you’re being so positive”, “you’re showing so much grace” is touching. There’s a lot going on underneath it all, and believe me every emotion hits multiple times a day, even if the world doesn’t see it. Trust me, each day ends with exhaustion. We’re going through it and getting through it.
🔥Shortly after the fire we knew we needed a theme for this year’s show. I casually mentioned “Friends” and that every episode is entitled “The One ______”. We could do “The One With the Fire”. Then we didn’t talk about it again until a few weeks ago. There are so many iconic phrases and situations we could have added. PIVOT!
🔥I didn’t anticipate that having “the event” and the aftermath on a loop on screen all afternoon would make me feel so vulnerable. We were told multiple times today that our willingness to share one of our lowest points is appreciated.
🫶🏻We wouldn’t be able to make it through each day without all the friends we’ve made along the way. These relationships run deep.
Thank you all for standing by us as we work our way back. We have a long road ahead of us, but as we shared with many of you we have some exciting things in the works as we get back to it.
As we move forward we’ll continue to be as upfront and honest as we can be. We truly love our customers.
