When med spa owners tell me they want to grow, the first thing they usually ask about is marketing.

More ads.
More leads.
More followers.

But here’s what I’ve learned after working with practices across the country:

Most don’t have a lead problem.

They have a monetization problem.

This client is a perfect example.

The services were good. The demand was there. People were booking appointments.

But revenue wasn’t reflecting the effort being put into the business.

“We’ve tried everything.”

I hear this from med spa owners all the time, and usually it doesn’t mean they haven’t worked hard enough.

It means they’ve spent months or years trying different things without seeing consistent results.

They’ve hired agencies, changed marketing strategies, invested in devices, trained staff, run promotions, and posted constantly on social media.

Their teams are busy every day, but revenue still feels inconsistent and growth still feels harder than it should.

One owner recently told me:

“We’re working nonstop, but it still feels like we’re stuck.”

That’s the part people don’t talk about enough.

A lot of med spas are not struggling because they lack effort.

We surpassed our full 2025 revenue in 4.5 months.

They can also tell when someone is genuinely trying to understand them.
That difference changes everything in a consultation.

A good consultant is not the person who talks someone into buying one treatment and disappears.

A good consultant knows how to build trust, ask the right questions, understand what the client is actually struggling with, and create a relationship that keeps the client coming back long after the first appointment.

That is how high-ticket recurring clients are built.

Not through pressure.

A patient can feel uncertainty within the first five minutes of a consultation.

I’ve seen medspas spend hundreds of thousands on beautiful technology then completely lose the patient before the treatment even starts.

The consult feels awkward.
The coordinator sounds unsure.
The pricing conversation gets messy.
Nobody handles objections properly.
Follow-up happens three days too late.

Then we pulled apart the schedule.
Consults weren’t converting.

Existing clients weren’t being rebooked properly.
