Around 3:00PM today, Wednesday, July 29, 2026. Crews responded to the area for 238 mile marker, northbound on Interstate 81, for a crash involving an overturned tractor trailer in multiple other vehicles. One lane northbound on the interstate should be open by 4:30 or 5:00.

🎉 It's Parade Day! 🎉
We can't wait to see everyone tonight!
📍 Parade Lineup Begins at 6:00 PM
Please use the following lineup locations:
🚜 All parade entries: Enter from Old River Road to access the lineup.
🚒 Fire apparatus & commercial entries: Line up on Chesapeake Avenue.
🎈 Floats: Line up off Dry River Road.
🥁 Bands & majorette groups: Line up on Washington Street.
There will be signs and volunteers throughout the area to help direct you to the correct lineup location.
A few friendly reminders:
• Please be patient, kind, and respectful to our volunteers and staff who are working hard to make tonight's parade a success.
• For everyone's safety, no items may be thrown from any moving vehicle during the parade. Candy, giveaways, and other items may be handed out by participants walking alongside your entry.

We understand that parking is and will be limited this year due to the Town's ongoing construction projects. We kindly ask everyone to be patient and show kindness to the ladies working our front gate—they're doing their best to help everyone have a great experience.
If you're attending the Lawn Party, parking is still available in the traditional location at Harrison Park, accessible from Grove Street.
