Congratulations! We are so excited for you!
The excitement about the unknown and the anxiety that follows swiftly after. The daunting prospect of trades moving in and out of our adjacent space working together to convert another blank canvas into a functioning brewery. Timelines jiving and timelines colliding. The inspirational stainless forest that will eventually upright in this space like tuning forks for the clamor and hubbub of beer production.
I stood in this very room in the summer of 2019 with a vision for phase one of our brewery, wondering if we’d ever need more space. A wall separates the space I stand in today from the brewery we’ve built over the last three and a half years. Soon, the wall will come down connecting our brewery’s past and present with its future. With day one of construction of our brewery’s expansion on the horizon, I have the same feelings of insecurity, hope, and excitement I did when we cracked the first concrete back in 2019. Back then, I imagined a version of myself on this day and in spite of having actually sold some Goldfinger beer at this point, I don’t feel any less nervous. The things we have planned for this space are about to unleash a new chapter in the potential of our beer, our employees, and our business as a whole. Better beer, more consistent beer, and more beer.
I couldn’t have gotten to this point without the faith my partners placed in me. Without the tireless hours my wife Alison dedicates to all of our survival. Without the hard work ethic, dependability, and skill our staff posses. Without the support of our regular customers whom we greet weekly. Without our enthusiastic retailers across the state. I couldn’t have gotten here without all of you. The ones who scrolled the extra bit on our long social posts. The ones who asked their friend to bring Goldfinger because they can’t find it in their area. The friend who brought it. All the moments you included Goldfinger in. We navigate uncharted waters with you all. For those not yet here, climb aboard and we’ll welcome you with a lager beer. From the bottom of my heart, thank you all for your support and the opportunity to grow our small business. Drink More Lager.
Sincerely,
Tom
