What would you ask your peers if you could ask them anything?

Maybe it's something like:

- What does your estimating process actually look like?
- How are you handling performance reviews and pay increases?
- When did you know it was time to hire a project manager?
- How do you keep cash flow steady when projects get delayed?
- What do you do when a key employee quits at the worst possible time?

These are the questions that are hard to Google. Hard to ask your accountant. Hard to bring up with someone who doesn't run a remodeling business.

Don't should on yourself!

I talk to a lot of remodelers.

And one of the things I hear most often (after they have been a Peer Group member for a little while) is some version of this:

"I should have done that sooner."

"I should have joined years ago when I had the chance."

"I knew it was the right move. I just didn't pull the trigger. I should have."

I call it shoulding on yourself :) And it's one of the most expensive habits a business owner can have.

Not because of the money, but because of the time.

Every month you spend figuring things out alone is a month you could have spent with a group of remodelers who've already been there!

Every problem you're grinding through in isolation is a problem someone in a Peer Group solved six months ago and would have handed you the answer to if you'd been in the room.

I'm not going to tell you it's a perfect fit without knowing your situation.
