Important Announcement: Upcoming Closure of Grit & Lavender

It is with a heavy heart that I announce the upcoming closure of Grit & Lavender. After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision not to renew our lease, and our operations will cease no later than June 30th, 2024.

We understand that this news may come as a shock, and we want to assure you that this decision was not made lightly. Despite exploring various options to keep our space open, the changing market conditions and family circumstances have led us to this difficult conclusion.

We want to express our deepest gratitude for being part of our community. Your support, collaboration, and friendships over these past 5 years have made Grit & Lavender a truly special place. With all our heart, thank you. We believe the connections and friendships that have been fostered within this space will continue to spread throughout our networks and propel us into our next journey. Doug Miller, UA Local 190 Plumbers and Pipefitters
I am very passionate about plumbing work as a master plumber, a licensed star exam mastery in pipefitting and steamfitting. Working in large commercial and industrial settings. I pride myself on high-quality workmanship and integrity.
I am an instructor at our union hall and now I’m also working with the UA training instructors from all over the country, helping educate our fellow journeyman and apprentices as well as giving other locals to do the same with educational materials. I currently teach medical gas installers, ICRA/ ASSE 12000 certification and related science. I try to give the best education I can to keep my fellow members on the forefront of these skills.
Recently I’ve become a member of the ASSE 6000 working group. This group decides qualifications for medical gas licenses.
I have also started to work with the UA NFPA technical committee and educating the UA.
These Are Some Of The Projects I've Worked on:
U.S. Embassy's, 5-Star Resorts, jails, hotels, college residences, college sports facilities, car plants, compressor stations, chemical plants, refineries, hospitals, organ donation facilities, data centers, commercial strip mall build outs, hair salons, bars, restaurants, coffee shops, dentist offices, just to name a few.
Licensed in medical gas installer and brazing certified.
Licensed medical gas instructor, medical gas inspector and medical gas maintenance.
These certifications are valid in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and Canada. This works for all medical gas installs from a dentist office to a hospital.
ASSE nationally accredited cross connection/backflow testing and ASSE 12000 ICRA certificate.

She meets with all manner of clients seeking to insure the legacy of their families and management of life crisis. Erika is the Chair of the Hartland Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and sits on the Board of Livingston County Habitat for Humanity. She has lived in Whitmore Lake her entire life and is very involved in the local community. She also speaks at events to educate the public about Estate Planning.
