Today I was asked how business was going, as I answered I contemplated saying how it’s really going vs what I thought she wanted to hear. I choose to go with the truth, I told her it’s not going as much as I would like for it to be!
Life has been so chaotic and challenging, as it always is, and there are days I wake up with goals in mind for that day, and by 10a, my day has already realigned itself and not how I originally planned for the day to go! You would think since it’s only 10, there’s still an entire day ahead of you, how could you divert so far off the path? Well, that’s where the frustration comes into play for me!
Goals, yes I have them, as we all do! Systems, I’ve tried to stick to those as well! Chaos seems to be the definition of my day to day! But hope, and prayer, those have not changed nor have I diverted from those beliefs! I know starting up a business takes time, determination, consistency, dedication and hard work! I’m not a big social media poster, I’m more of an in person type of gal, as those who know me, I’m bubbly and very personable. I think that’s why I feel more frustrated.
I’ve met so many new people since obtaining my certification, but no leads from these meets and interactions. I know that first client is out there! I haven’t given up and you all who I see day to day know my determination has not been lost, just maybe the lime light of social media might not be my motivation. So please know your up and coming bookkeeper is still here, still persevering and still actively taking on new clients, I’ve just hit a couple hurdles. And sometimes the raw, comes out!
