Today marks the beginning of a new chapter for Mountain Empire Wildlife & Pest Control, but it's also a day filled with gratitude, pride, and reflection.
After more than 55 years in the pest control and wildlife management industry, Perry Carrier is stepping back from the day-to-day operations of the business he has spent a lifetime building and serving.
Perry's journey began by following in the footsteps of his father, Leo Carrier, learning the values of hard work, dedication, and customer service that would shape his entire career. He proudly carried on the family legacy through Leo's Pest Control for many years until the company was eventually sold. But Perry's passion for serving his community and working in the pest and wildlife industry never faded. Determined to continue helping the people he cared about, he founded Mountain Empire Wildlife & Pest Control, building a company that would become known throughout the region for its honesty, professionalism, and commitment to excellence. What began with Leo Carrier has grown into a three-generation legacy that continues today.
For over five decades, Perry has been more than a business owner. He has been a mentor, a problem solver, a friend, and a trusted name that customers could count on. From early mornings to late-night calls, countless wildlife removals, and thousands of pest control services, he has devoted his life to serving others and building a reputation founded on honesty, integrity, and family values.
Now, Perry is looking forward to spending more time with the love of his life, his wife, Debbie Jean. Together, they have sacrificed so much over the years to build not only a successful business but a life centered around family, faith, and community. This retirement is a well-deserved opportunity to enjoy more time together, make new memories, and enjoy the rewards of a lifetime of hard work.
While Perry is stepping back from the daily responsibilities, he isn't saying goodbye just yet. He will continue to be a part of Mountain Empire Wildlife & Pest Control and will still be around to share his knowledge, guidance, and experience. Although he is retiring from the day-to-day operations, his passion for the business and dedication to the customers he has served for decades remain as strong as ever.
As one chapter closes, another begins.
Perry is proud to pass the day-to-day leadership of Mountain Empire Wildlife & Pest Control to his son, Josh Carrier, continuing a family legacy that now spans three generations. Having grown up around the business and learning from his father example, Josh is honored to carry forward the values, work ethic, and commitment to customer service that have defined the Carrier family name for generations.
Three generations. One family. One legacy.
From Leo's Pest Control to Mountain Empire Wildlife & Pest Control, the mission has always remained the same: serve people honestly, work hard, solve problems, and treat every customer like family.
Please join us in congratulating Perry Carrier on an incredible 55+ year career and thanking him for the countless lives he has touched along the way. His legacy lives on not only through the businesses he built but through the family, employees, customers, and community he has impacted throughout the years.
Congratulations, Perry. Thank you for your leadership, your sacrifice, your friendship, and your unwavering dedication to our community. Enjoy this next chapter with Debbie Jean, knowing that the legacy you and your father built will continue for generations to come.
