Under general direction of the Plant Manager and the Facility Supervisor, the Distillation Operator operates the process equipment and helps to oversee general operation of the plant.

Duties and Responsibilities
· Run all plant systems from the control panel to established standards as listed in operating manuals. These systems include distillation columns, sieve, and evaporator. Also monitor other critical systems, cooling towers, boiler, and air compressors.
· Perform tests on production samples to maintain quality standards of production, sample wastewater to maintain permit limits, and report to management when there are issues beyond your control.
· Supervise and assign duties to assistant(s) as production needs dictate, as well as train new employees. Production needs include loading and unloading tankers, as well as pumping feedstock into and out of tanks.
· Oversee general operation of the plant in a safe and productive manner.
· Ensure that all paperwork is correct and complete. Help to maintain file folders for completed paperwork.
· Assist maintenance when necessary.

· Meet production requirements set forth by Management
Skills and Knowledge Required
· Ability to read manifests and accompanying paperwork
· Ability to operate computer and its software and applications
· Ability to operate forklift
· Good English communication including practical written English
· General knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations
· **Experience with HMI or Touch Screen controls a PLUS!**
