Bristow Replenysh Network Replenysh brings us a method of recycling that is entirely different from what has been done in the Every item we collect has a buyer. That's amazing!

Replenysh (replenysh.com) is an innovative company with the mission of living in a world where every material is reused. Replenysh reached out when they learned that there was interest in starting a recycling program in Bristow. This method of recycling is entirely different from what has been done in the past. At the conclusion of our collection event, the recyclables are driven to Tulsa, weighed

and sold. The proceeds from that sale is then donated to a local charity or cause. Our inaugural drive benefitted Bristow Area Social Services. Replenysh collects data from the events and works toward maximizing the efficiency and material value. Our first drive collected 1980 pounds! In less than 3 hours, our first event prevented nearly ONE TON of recyclable materials from being dumped in a landfill! As Replenysh looks toward making these recycling events the most efficient and profitable, we - the "Bristow Network" - will adjust accordingly. Obviously, it benefits everyone to take a full load, so until we can reach that goal, we will schedule our collection events using on the data from previous events to make that determination. My theory here is that someone (the spouse or parent in the household) asks someone else to drop off the recycling and that person thinks they are doing the right thing but just missing the mark. Please do it right. These are photos sent to me just now from volunteers who probably have other things they’d rather be doing on this glorious holiday weekend. We love that you all recycle, but please take the time to do it right. Thank you. 🇺🇸♻️

Fun fact: Arizona tea containers are not recyclable in our area. They are PP5 (as are pedialyte containers.)

At the Bristow Replenysh Network recycling site, we currently have 3 (occasionally 4) volunteers. Trust me when I say, they are never looking for anything to do. 😳 PLEASE sort your materials. PLEASE do not leave bags of mixed materials. Please do not leave PP5, colored thermoforms, shopping bags, styrofoam’s cups, clothes hangers…..you get it. Please only leave the materials we collect: PET1, HDPE2, clear thermoforms, aluminum cans, steel cans, glass and cardboard. There are sign and pictures to guide you. Here’s my number for questions: 918 645-6935.

Lest you think all I ever do is gripe, just look at what the Bristow Replenysh Network site looks like today! Thank you to the volunteers who keep it tidy. If you are one of the many who recycle with us, thank you! If you haven’t yet, check it out. The site is located at 1723 South Poplar. We accept PET1 and HDPE2 plastics, aluminum cans, steel cans, glass and cardboard. These are the only products we accept. Your materials need to be separated by type and placed in the collection bags. Please do not mix materials or leave bags of mixed materials on site. If you have questions, there are signs with pictures t help you. Or call me 918 645-6935. We were the first community in the nation to participate in this recycling program and we continue to grow!
