Thanks to everyone who attended and spoke at the Planning Commission meeting on Wednesday! Monday there is a Brentsville community event if you are interested in learning more about development concerns in our area.

Community Members,

Next Monday, March 16 at 7pm at Sweeney Barn, join CABSA, Prince William Conservation Alliance and Coalition to Protect Prince William County for a Community Conversation about where we are headed in Prince William County.

❗️Skyrocketing electric bills, nonstop data center construction, transmission lines in our open spaces, fear of our wells going dry due to development in rural neighborhoods — our community is feeling the effects of poor land planning.

✅ Join your neighbors for a conversation with community leaders and elected officials to discuss these issues, and learn how YOU can use YOUR voice to advocate for smart growth principals in Prince William County.

▶️ Registration is required. Tickets are $10 to help cover the event's costs. Register using QR code or link here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/community-conversation-where-are-we-headed-registration-1983957280633?aff=oddtdtcreator&keep_tld=true

Hello Neighbors!
This Wednesday, March 11, the Planning Commission will hear the Diamond Hill Substation Public Facility Review (PFR).
▶️ This PFR would allow both a 75 foot tall 300MW substation and 110 foot tall switching station to be built on 9.6 acres, to power a data center campus.
🛑 The applicant has provided no viewshed studies from the adjacent residential communities or Linton Hall Road. This development would also have detrimental impact on environmentally sensitive forested wetlands and nearly 4,000 feet of linear streams.
🛑 Additionally, this PFR’s application materials were not readily available on PWC’s Development Application Processing Schedule until just last week, despite initial submission in September. This is unusual.
✅ Please plan to speak Wednesday night, virtually or in person, and/or to email comments to the entire Planning Commission at [email protected].

If you are planning to attend the meeting virtually, you must sign up by 5pm TODAY. https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=e7_QvbWxAUiTophSN25OTJ23-uIWij1MqkoNqtQBV0ZUN1ZUUElEODdYRU84Szg4Q1RPMDNFSVBINyQlQCN0PWcu&wdLOR=c2C3565AE-9C0E-4DD3-B7FA-7A262A3B5F2B
