The Inaugural Freshman Class '26.

What began as an idea became an unforgettable evening—and the beginning of a new Greater Brockton tradition.

Over the past several months, we had the privilege of sharing the stories of seven remarkable individuals who are helping shape our community through leadership, entrepreneurship, creativity, service, and impact. Seeing those stories culminate in a room filled with family, friends, partners, and supporters was a powerful reminder of why this initiative matters.

To our inaugural honorees: thank you for trusting us with your stories and for setting the standard for every class that will follow.

A heartfelt thank you to J. Derenzo Companies, our Presenting Sponsor, whose generous support helped make this inaugural reception possible.

Thank you as well to all of our sponsors and community partners, Councilor Jeff Charnel for joining us with special remarks, Nos Morabeza for hosting us so beautifully, Kwame Blue for bringing this campaign to life through his incredible photography and creative vision, and everyone who joined us that evening. This celebration was truly a community effort, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who believed in this vision from the very beginning.

There will only ever be one first class, and we are honored to have celebrated it together.
Congratulations to the Freshman Class '26.

We'll see you next year.

Brockton deserves thoughtful conversation about its future.

Greater Brockton Young Professionals is proud to present Common Ground: A Civic Series, a moderated congressional candidate forum focused on the opportunities, challenges, and future of our city.

Join us on Tuesday, August 11 from 6:00–8:00 PM at theensogallery for a substantive conversation ahead of the Democratic primary for Massachusetts’s 8th Congressional District.

Congressional candidate Patrick Roath has confirmed his participation, and Congressman Stephen Lynch has been formally invited to attend.

The conversation will be moderated by Luz Villar and will explore housing, affordability, economic development, education, workforce opportunity, federal investment, leadership, and Brockton’s place within the district.

Complimentary refreshments will be provided.

This is not a campaign rally or endorsement event. It is an opportunity for residents to hear directly from the candidates, engage with the issues, and better understand the leadership choices before our community.

Registration is now open. Space is limited.

Freshman Class ’26 in The Enterprise.

What began as an idea to celebrate the people doing incredible work right here in Brockton became something incredibly special.

Thank you to The Enterprise for joining us at the inaugural Freshman Class ’26 Reception and helping share the stories of the seven honorees who made up our first class.

We said from the beginning that we wanted to celebrate people while they’re building — and we’re proud to see their stories continue reaching our community.

And we’re not done celebrating yet.

Stay tuned for the official Freshman Class ’26 photo and video recap from an unforgettable night.
