Have you ever thought about what it would take to reach the profit and pay that you really want in your travel business?

Sat down, mapped it out, and then compared it to where you are currently?

What needs to happen in your business, and within yourself, to reach it?

Whether you want to pay yourself $1,000, $5,000, $10,000/mo, or more, there is a path to get there.

❌ Checking off your bookkeeping to-do list and patting yourself on the back because you completed it, is just the start.

❌ Making sure that you found and tracked every income and expense item, all the receipts are filed and you’re set for tax time—that's the mechanics.

❌ This is where so many travel pros “sit”. They focus on the “mechanics” and believe that’s it. Thinking “phew, I made it.”

❌ Sadly, they are missing an important piece missing, though. The mindset of it…

Yes, you need those numbers for sure. And the mechanics do matter! However, focusing 100% on this area is basically getting you tax and audit-ready. Yay for your tax pro!

This may sound familiar when it comes to your travel business finances.

snooze.... Snooze.... SNooZe..... PANIC

You get busy and the money tasks are pushed to the bottom of this list. Before you know it, the year is over.

Your tax person is asking for your details. You then have to scramble to pull it all together, sometimes downloading EVERY transaction from EACH month... Yes, all 12 of them! Categorize, Summarize, and hope you didn't miss anything.

Will There Be Enough Money Left to Pay You?

Do you ever feel like the money in your travel business isn't where it should be?

Do you find that as commissions come in they go to cover expenses, credit card balances, or the next item on your business wishlist?

At the end of each month will there be enough money left to pay you?

If this thought has crossed your mind, you are not alone. Many travel advisors find themselves in this situation, wondering where all their commissions have gone.

It's easy to get lost in the day-to-day. I know first-hand the many hats of being a travel professional… there are a lot. And I also know that it’s easy to let the numbers drop to the bottom of that to-do list.

If you want to start paying yourself, or be able to pay yourself more, it all starts and ends with your numbers. Period.

Unless you’re in a position to hire a fractional CFO, this lands in your lap. Your bookkeeper, accountant, banker, personal financial planner, none of them are going to take you into the future and show you what it takes to pay yourself.

By learning to look at your numbers every month, you can see exactly where your money is going, that’s step 1. Then use that information to make smart choices and ensure you can pay yourself what you deserve, and even more!

I make this sound easy, I know. It does take some work. There are key elements that need to be in place to start, and then non-negotiable habits and actions followed regularly so you DO end up where you want to be financially.
