Today, we recognize and honor Juneteenth marking June 19, 1865, when the news of emancipation finally reached the enslaved people of Galveston, Texas, two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation.
Juneteenth is not just a celebration of freedom, but a vital reminder of the ongoing journey toward true equality, justice, and community empowerment. Today, we listen, learn, and amplify Black voices, history, and achievements.
How are you reflecting or celebrating in your community today?
