The For ClimateTech initiative helps founders fast track businesses and breakthrough technologies that reduce greenhouse gases emitted in New York, and further strengthen the state as a hub for climate-related solutions. This program offers access to resources, funding opportunities, mentors, and connections to manufacturers to develop more robust manufacturing processes and refine product design so it’s ready to mass produce. The initiative is administered by impact innovation company SecondMuse and non-profit entrepreneurship catalyst NextCorps, which have worked together for years on industry-differentiated climate tech accelerators. NYSERDA is supporting the initiative and more than a dozen partners, including Urban Future Lab, Cornell University, REV: Ithaca Startup Works, NY Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) and RIT Golisano Institute of Sustainability, will participate in For ClimateTech programming and offer founders a range of resources, technical expertise and guidance.
