I gave birth to life, and almost lost my own 🕊️

In 2023, I became a statistic that Black women in America know too well. Despite being a trained postpartum doula and a reproductive health advocate, I spent my pregnancy terrified I wouldn’t survive it.

My journey wasn't "typical." It was a battle against worsening asthma, extreme fibroids, and debilitating pain—all labeled under the cold clinical term of a "geriatric pregnancy." I made it to 40 weeks, but the real fight started after my daughter was born.

Postpartum pre-eclampsia. Severe anemia. Retained placenta. A year of specialists just to feel "normal" again.

But while my body was fighting to heal, the world expected me to get "back to business." It became dangerously clear: The world doesn't value us in our most vulnerable moments.

I rebranded my business because I refused to let another mother navigate that gap alone. I am the bridge I wish I had.

I’m sharing my 'Why' because I know I’m not the only one who was told to ‘get back to business’ while still fighting to heal.
