Kalief Browder’s everlasting legacy expands via the poetry of his mother, Venida in an unfolding poetic journey between past, present, and future. For Venida, For Kalief weaves a cinematic collage of verité, poetic visuals, and rare archival imagery from 1970s New York, and reveals how an individual’s life—and afterlife—can transcend systemic oppression to ignite change once thought unattainable.

We're currently working on graphics and animation for a documentary film about Happy the elephant. We took on this project because poor Happy is...not happy. She's been living in a zoo for almost half a century, and living in isolation for the past 17 years. The Nonhuman Rights Project has been working to free Happy, and the director of this documentary is trying to complete this film in a timely manner. She's hoping it will help raise awareness so that Happy can live out her golden years in a sanctuary and get rid of her current title as "the world's loneliest elephant."

We had the opportunity to create the motion graphics design & animation on three feature documentaries that are all premiering this month. First up is "For Venida, For Kalief" which premieres at the Tribeca Film Festival this Friday.

Through a poetic lens the film depicts the flaws of the criminal justice system while revealing "how an individual’s life — and afterlife — can transcend boundaries to ignite social and cultural change."

Kalief Browder’s story unfolds in full when his life, and that of his mother, Venida Brodnax Browder, are tragically derailed by years of malintent from the justice system. Excited that Before The Moon Falls, a feature documentary we worked on, is finally having it's world premiere at the Academy Award qualifying Doc Edge Festival. The film illuminates the complexity of untreated mental illness and the devastating toll it can exact on individuals, families and entire communities.
