PriorityOne BPO is hiring a Tier 1 Technical Support Representative for a US-based telecom account focused primarily on residential customers, with some exposure to business support as a plus.

This role is for someone who can think critically, not just follow scripts. We’re looking for a rep who understands what they’re troubleshooting, can explain their reasoning, and knows when something doesn’t fit a standard workflow.

What You’ll Do

Troubleshoot VoIP service issues (call quality, registration, inbound/outbound calling, device issues, connectivity, etc.)
Provide basic support for POTS and mobile services
Identify whether issues are likely network-related, provisioning-related, configuration-related, or user-related
Ask the right follow-up questions to narrow down root causes
Document cases clearly with meaningful context (not just a list of steps taken)
Recognize when a case does not fit a standard scenario
Escalate appropriately, with clear explanations of what you observed and attempted
Support US-based customers during EST hours

What We’re Looking For:

This is not a script-only role.
You may be a strong fit if you:

Have hands-on VoIP troubleshooting experience (SIP basics, softphones, desk phones, call quality issues, etc.)
Understand how to isolate problems instead of guessing
Can explain why you took certain steps—not just what you did
Notice patterns across cases
Don’t hide behind scripts when something doesn’t make sense
Can slow down and think when something feels “off”
Communicate clearly, calmly, and professionally
Are comfortable working independently as a contractor

Requirements:
1–3+ years of Tier 1 technical support experience (telecom preferred)
VoIP troubleshooting experience (required)
Familiarity with POTS and/or mobile services (preferred)
Strong written and spoken English
Reliable internet connection
Ability to work US EST hours
Must be based in Philippines, Dominican Republic, or South Africa

Nice to Have:
Business or enterprise telecom support experience
