As Climate Week NYC 2026 (September 20–27) gets underway, we are thrilled to announce the official public launch of "Dignified S**t", a waste management public service announcement co-produced by Sunlit and Pan-African Solutions Consulting LLC.
Focusing on public housing management and resident accountability, "Dignified S**t" issues a powerful call to action: "Bring Dignity Back to the Block." It truly embodies this year’s Climate Week NYC theme, capturing the energy, impact, and action we drive together.
We are immensely proud of our summer intern team: Meher, Soraya, Reni, and Jalen. Special thanks to NYC DYCD, The Nightingale-Bamford School, and Bridge Street Development Corporation for connecting us with such tenacious talent. During our private viewing of the four-part series culminating in this PSA, Sidda Phillip of Bridge Street Development Corporation noted that the partnership between Sunlit and Pan-African Solutions Consulting offers a smart model for future small business collaboration. While Sunlit brought expertise in digital storytelling, Pan-African Solutions Consulting provided the foundational project, funded by a 2026 NYCHA Climate Action Award by The New York Climate Exchange on Earth Day in recognition of community leadership and local climate action. We also extend our gratitude to Aja Two Crows for her steadfast support and for delivering the closing remarks at our private viewing.
We extend our sincere thanks to New York City Council Deputy Leader Chris Banks (Chair of the Public Housing Committee), District 36 Council Member Chi Osse, and their teams for lending their time, voices, and civic leadership to make this PSA a success.
Finally, we are honored that our work will be featured this Saturday, September 26, at the culmination of Climate Week NYC on Governors Island during The New York Climate Exchange's Homecoming: For the Harbor celebration.
