Happy 64th Independence Day to Trinidad & Tobago, aka Sweet, Sweet T&T! 🇹🇹✨

Pan-African Solutions Consulting was honored to be personally invited by Deputy Leader Chris Banks NYC Council Member Chris Banks (Deputy Leader NYC Council) Councilmember Chris Banks 42 (42nd District) to celebrate Trinidad & Tobago Independence at NYC City Hall!

On Thursday, August 27, Founder & Managing Director Chevelle Dixon and intern Soraya Randolph joined the celebration in the Council Chambers, officially ushering in NYC Carnival week. From being greeted on the City Hall steps by Councilman Banks’ team and stilt walkers to taking in the culture, it was an incredible first City Hall experience for Soraya.

Chevelle was also thrilled to reconnect with Trinidad & Tobago Consul General J. Mary Tang Yew ahead of the upcoming United Nations General Assembly this September. 🇹🇹🏛️

Highlights of the evening:
* Opening remarks by Deputy Leader Chris Banks and stirring renditions of both national anthems.
* Proclamations presented by Councilmember Mercedes Narcisse to iconic Trinidadian honorees: Denise Belfon Saucy, Julian John, Michelle Lewis, Stacey Rakissoon-Haggerty, and Anselm Douglas (composer of "Who Let the Dogs Out")! 🎶
* A spectacular performance on the national instrument, the steelpan, by master pannist Dane Gulston filling the hall with the sound, rhythm, and spirit of liberation! 🥁🔥

Beyond proud is an understatement! 💫
We have been completely blown away by the growth, tenacity, curiosity, and dedication to excellence shown by our 2026 summer interns at and -African Solutions Consulting! 🎬✨

From pre-production narrative building to on-screen talent, behind-the-scenes camera work, and post-production editing, these rising leaders leveled up their craft every single day. 📊📽️

Their summer journey spanned top-tier industry and civic engagements:

🏢 Private Sector: Meetings at Sony Entertainment & Condé Nast

🏛️ Public Sector: Briefings with the NYC Mayor’s Office of M/WBE & NYC Council Member Chris Banks (District 42)

They explored the realities of urban management while learning the media professionalism needed to share community stories with integrity.

To mark the conclusion of the program, we hosted a private viewing showcase for their families and supporters, highlighting their individual projects and their powerful collective work: "Dignified Sh!t"—a 4-part NYCHA waste management PSA series awarded a 2026 NY Climate Exchange Grant! 🏆🌱

Huge thank you to Aja Two Crows of NY Climate Exchange) and Sidda Philipp of BridgeStreet Development Corp) for joining us and sharing powerful closing remarks! 🙏

👀 Next Up: Distribution! Stay tuned for public viewings, film festival entries, and national youth film competitions. 🚀🍿

NYC Mayor’s Office & City Hall visits for big vision moves! 🏛️✨

Our Pan-African Solutions Consulting team joined forces with the Sunlit Stories team this week for an incredible meeting at the NYC Mayor’s Office of Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (M/WBE) at City Hall!

We had the absolute honor of sitting down with Dilip Chauhan, Deputy Chief Business Diversity Officer & Senior Advisor for M/WBE Business Opportunities. From discussing how to connect international commerce to local NYC small businesses, to exploring technical training and mentorship pathways (including the Central Construction Mentor Program managed by Deidre Woodley Henriquez), we left deeply inspired and equipped with vital tools for growth.

A huge, heartfelt thank you to Dilip Chauhan and his team for welcoming us, amplifying M/WBE voices, and dedicating their work to expanding access across the five boroughs. Grateful for the mentorship, the insight, and the journey ahead! 🚀📈

On the heels of the NYCHA Annual Plan Public Hearing here in Brooklyn, Councilmember Chris Banks NYC Council Member Chris Banks (Deputy Leader NYC Council) Councilmember Chris Banks 42 set the tone with a powerful speech which stood firm on protecting Section 9 public housing and holding NYCHA leadership accountable.

It was our summer interns first time ever attending a public hearing and we were all proud to be in the room where it happened!

We were also grateful to reconnect with our community partner Kevin Howell 2025 Care Stars Award recipient! It was a true pleasure to sit down in his East New York district office, talk through his career journey in public service, and align on the ongoing work for our NYCHA communities.

As a 2026 NYCHA Resident Climate Action Awardee, we are officially in post-production on our Sunlit Stories and Pan-African Solutions Consulting new PSA series titled “Dignified Sh!t!” 🎬✨

This project examines both NYCHA management and resident waste management behaviors. The vision? Bringing dignity back to the block and reminding everyone that we all have a role to play in caring for our shared spaces and elevating our quality of life.

Thank you, Councilmember Banks, for your hospitality, your support of our upcoming PSA, and your relentless dedication to the community! 🤎✊🏾

Happy 64th Independence Day! 🇯🇲✨

Pan-African Solutions Consulting was proud to show up as a vendor at the first annual Jamaica Day Parade in Flatbush, right near Lefferts Gardens! We loved basking in the rich culture, vibes, and celebration of the Jamaican massive who came out to represent in the great island nation of Brooklyn. 🏙️🌴

While we were grateful to support Little Caribbean™ NYC for this inaugural event, we do look forward to future iterations bringing clearer communication as changes arise and a more organized structure for paying vendors.

Above all, I am super proud of our team! This was their fourth summer festival celebrating the Diaspora. They brought fresh, innovative ideas to vending our limited-edition cultural koozies, captured fantastic event footage, and continued sharpening their interviewing and post-production editing skills. 📸🎤

Sending so much love to Jamaica and the entire Diaspora! ❤️💚🖤

We are overflowing with gratitude after an incredible field trip for our SYEP youth to the Sony offices!

A heartfelt thank you to Arielle Neblett of Sunlit Stories for bringing us together and organizing such an impactful meeting with Shameka at Sony.

Shameka, we are so grateful for your time and generosity! As a Creative Coordinator, you did a brilliant job guiding our youth through every phase of the creative pipeline from pre-production, production, post-production to distribution. Thank you for answering all of their curious questions about your career journey with such openness and for sharing clear, inspiring pathways for the next generation to break into the media industry!

Watching our youth apply themselves as they work diligently on their vlogs, special event interviews (such as FIFA World Cup Festivals, Festival of Nations, and the 1st annual Jamaican Independence Parade), and a NYCHA waste management public service announcement series has been nothing short of inspiring. We are continuously blown away by their rapid growth, unique perspectives, and unwavering commitment to producing great work as a team! 💡✨

Our Founder & Managing Director Chevelle D. could not be prouder to call these phenomenal young leaders our interns. We are so excited to celebrate their hard work and see their full portfolios on display at our private viewing on Tuesday, August 18! 🚀🙌

We are so blessed to welcome our NYC Summer Youth Employment Program intern Meher to our Pan-African Solutions Consulting team🙌🏽👏🏾🥳💐 In just two weeks we have witness his growth, commitment, willingness to learn new skills such as interviewing and video editing and most of all becoming a futbol fan!

We proudly present the team's coverage of 2026 FIFA World Cup watch parties in the great island nation of Brooklyn!

🎤 Questions were asked, and the answers were given! 👀✨ Get to know us a little better through this Q&A. Watch both parts and let us know what you think! 💬👇🏾

On July 14, 2026, we at Pan-African Solutions Consulting went to a 2026 FIFA World Cup watch party at Brooklyn Bridge Park to interview a variety of people about how long they have been interested in soccer/futbol and if they have ever played. Asking these questions allows us to get insight on what the sport really means to people. We also of course watched and enjoyed the game ourselves. We hope you do the same to this interview!!!

On July 15, 2026, we at Pan-African Solutions and Consulting went to a World Cup watch party at Brooklyn Bridge Park to interview a variety of people about some poignant moments for the Black Diaspora before and during 2026 FIFA World Cup including Cape Verde’s marvelous performance in the World Cup as well as the controversial tarmac search that the Senegalese team was put through. This results in us being able to gain insight on how the everyday soccer/futbol fan views the Black Diaspora.

Enjoy!!!

13 years in the game and still hitting historic "firsts!" 🙌🏾 This July, Pan-African Solutions Consulting celebrated two major milestones: moving into our first official office space and welcoming our very first NYC Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) cohort! 💼✨

Our amazing interns, Meher and Lashandra (SYEP) alongside Soraya (Nightingale-Bamford School), hit the ground running. To explore the Black Diaspora in real-time, we dove into a historic 2026 FIFA World Cup, highlighting the incredible representation of Black players across global teams including Africa, the Caribbean, South America and even countries like Ecuador, Saudi Arabia, and France. ⚽🌍

Our team took to the field at the official FIFA Fan Festival at Brooklyn Bridge Park to conduct interviews during the semifinals, welcoming the world to the Great Island Nation of Brooklyn! 🌉

Next week, we’re dropping the full interviews of what these soccer skeptics turned true fútbol fans discovered. For now, enjoy this teaser!

Shouting out all the competing nations, and a massive congrats to the real MVPs of the 2026 World Cup: Cabo Verde! 🇨🇻🏆
