Natural or deodorized cacao butter? It comes down to one thing: chocolaty aroma. 🍫
Both offer the same silky texture and melting properties. The difference is in what you smell (and taste) in the final product.
🌟 Natural cacao butter keeps its full chocolatey aroma. Perfect when you want that cacao character to shine through, think chocolate bars, where the aroma is part of the experience
✨ Deodorized cacao butter is different. Most deodorized butter on the market is made with lower grade and even rancid cocoa and stripped almost completely odorless through degumming and bleaching with chemicals. Ours isn't.
We start with pure, prime, pressed cacao butter and only run it through a counter-current steam deodorization process. No chemicals, no bleaching, just steam removing most of the aroma while keeping all the natural properties intact. It won't be 100% odorless, but it becomes noticeably milder, ideal for when you want other ingredients to lead: cosmetics, vegan ice cream bases, or skincare.
Neither natural or deodorized butter is "better." Both are premium quality. It's about what you're creating.👩🍳👨🍳
