A great dress is only the beginning.
For me, getting dressed has never been about attention. It’s self-expression—the pleasure of taking fashion and making it completely my own. When a look feels truly like me, I feel more confident wearing it.
This dress was a gift from my client and friend Gayle at Ava’s, which makes me love it even more. I took it to Paris and made it mine with a vintage belt I found in Saint-Tropez, one of my signature hats, and copious jewelry and accessories of course.
That, to me, is styling: taking something beautiful and giving it your own point of view. It’s knowing what makes you feel like yourself, then adding the unexpected details that make the look personal. The belt, the hat, the jewelry—each piece changes the story.
It’s instinct. It’s pushing your own boundaries, having fun with fashion, and creating a look that could belong to no one but you.
And where better to take it a little further than Hôtel Costes in Paris? A fashion girls home away from home.
A great dress is only the beginning. What you do with it makes it yours.
I hope this inspires you to push your own style boundaries, have a little more fun with fashion, and make every look more distinctly yours.
Save it. Share it. Then step boldly into your own style.
