Mustard Seed Events & Design Mustard Seed Events & Design is an event planning & design company, focused on stylish and seamless

The mustard seed is one of the smallest seeds and as many horticulture enthusiasts and gardeners know - produces one of the strongest trees. We find that the story of this incredible seed mirrors the stories of our clients and their growing love. Starting with something small, almost imperceptible, the seed produces long lasting strength and vitality.

We firmly believe the details make the difference.
I know, I know - you’ve heard that before. But it never fails that in the process of planning and designing a wedding, my clients are surprised by how many opportunities there are to make their day personal and cohesive. At Jennie & Jeff’s secret garden wedding, there was no shortage of whimsical and beautiful detail. From the custom guys’ shirts to the programs, to the es**rt cards and favors, to the menus and personalized cake knife…it all came together to host their guests in seamless style.

Jennie & Jeff | 06.29.24

Right out of a timeless fairy tale, their wedding hit all the right notes. Fragrant antique roses and Secret Garden vibes to fulfill the bride’s dreams? Check. Nonstop music including performances from many of the couple’s super-talented friends? Check. Fun elements like a popcorn station and vinyl record guestbook? Check!!
Here are just a few phone snapshots…I can’t *wait* to share the official photos.

Like so many couples, Margo & Ricky made the difficult decision to postpone their September 19th wedding to 2021. They couldn’t bear the thought of putting friends and family at risk and want their blowout celebration to be everything they envision!
-
As we stayed in close contact all Spring with this gorgeous and fun couple, their vendors, and industry news, we kept coming back to LOVE. Who knows what 2021 will look like...but we’re confident that Margo & Ricky’s love for each other and for their families & friends will remain the focus as we plan a wedding day to remember...one that celebrates the connection, joy, and life that these two already share.

Looking up, breathing deep.

It’s been a wiiiiiiiild season, hasn’t it?! A client had everything on track for coordinating a September wedding, and then, coronavirus shifted the conversation entirely. We’re staying close, making moves, and remembering to breathe as we shift dates, vendors, and plans.
-
How are you being flexible for your clients and adapting during this time?
-
I’ve learned to find the pause, the contentment, and the upside.
-
Here’s to all of the brides and grooms who planned to celebrate this summer and are choosing to wait, and to those who went ahead...it’s all love, and I hope you find the perfect balance for you as an individual couple.
-
And if you need a listening ear or coordination advice - please send me a DM! I’d be happy to help.

to a couple we LOVED working with as their Month-of coordinators!
Elisa and James had a lot of the details nailed down when they called us in to put all of those pieces together about 2 months ahead of their Big Day. We created a seamless timeline, confirmed all of their vendors, handled last-minute changes, and helped create some of the final design elements like placecards designed by the bride herself! All this so the couple could focus on family celebrations and each other without worrying about the nitty gritty.
SO many friends tell me they wish they’d hired a coordinator...even with a stellar onsite event manager from the venue, or a super-organized MOH, or family and friends pitching in - there’s no replacement for someone who‘s there to serve the wedding without any other distraction. We are the conductors of the whole day, from the crack-of-dawn makeup and hair sittings to packing up gifts and heirlooms at the end of the night...it’s all in the details and that’s where we shine!
If you’re planning your wedding and want to enjoy the last month or two, we’d love to join you in the love fest and help make your wedding day one of the best of your life! Send us a note...

Some brides choose a brooch or handkerchief, others a special heirloom as their “something old”. For this stunning bride, it was the whole day - full of family & vintage pieces and timeless expression.
