One of my top favorite things to do is stand up and talk about gratitude. Last week I gave a one-hour talk and workshop to a company whose brand-new value is gratitude. The hour ended in happy tears, what more could I ask for? Any companies out there looking to bring some gratitude to their next retreat, hit me up! (Link to my post about this in stories!)

Scenes from Mommy Camp 2023!

Day 1: Two words: rooftop whirlpool bath. With a view of planes taking off! The runaway hit of the week, pardon the pun
Day 2: tennis at , sushi at and movie w friends (migration- kids loved)
Day 3: global entry interviews (Italy 2024, here we come). Sandwiches w dad, impromptu dessert and cava (for me) at and
Day 4: for TERRIFIC arancini and bombomini, for clay play, for the loveliest high tea

Feeling verrrry lucky that I was able to take the week off work and go on NYC adventures with these kiddos while they are old enough to employ sarcasm (lol) and young enough to hold my hand in the street ❤️❤️

Ok so I went into my 7-year-old’s second grade class the week of Thanksgiving to read an excerpt from my book and give tips on writing good thank you notes (DON’T worry too much about handwriting DO share specifics about what that person did/said for you and how that made you feel and DO write from the ❤️)

Charlie came home with this packet of thank you notes from his classmates, and MAN did they listen! They each wrote from the heart and shared what they learned from me and how that made them feel.
😭❤️😭❤️😭
Highlights include the drawing of me as “Super Gina” and Charlie saying he was proud despite being embarrassed and this quote, from my little friend Sophie: “I’m using all your tips for this card. Here it is: thank you for teaching us how to write thank you cards. It made me feel so ready, proud, and excited.”
Thanks and kudos, as always, to the amazing teachers at — Ms. Gerchick is incredible!

9.8.07:

I spent so much time checking the weather that morning and that whole week, hoping HOPING it wouldn’t rain. Once it started POURING, I was able to relax and let loose, and I wasn’t the only one. The rain, thunder & lightning added drama to the night. (Scroll for the accidental waterfall!) The rain seemed to give everyone an excuse to drink more (we ran out of vodka and white wine before dinner and had to call in reinforcements!), dance more (will never forget ’s Ice Ice Baby), and eat more (opted for blueberry pie instead of cake).

Italians believe that rain at a wedding is good luck because a wet knot is harder to undo. Also, I think, rain is lucky because it adds excitement and levity to the night.

I think there’s a marriage metaphor in here somewhere. Maybe it’s this: Challenges can turn into adventures, if you’re with the right people. Or, that you can plan and envision all you want (aka a lot), but then life happens, and if you’re lucky, it turns out richer and more interesting than you could have imagined.

I was the luckiest to stand next to Jake 15 years ago today, and every day since.

Happy anniversary ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Love you forever
