Absolutely Unit- the little brutalist Jamaica Bay branch of the Brooklyn Public library looking very pretty and corduroy in the autumn light. Anti-graffiti coating seems to be applied to the first floor, but this little guy remains unpainted and undaunted.

Charming discovery in a Basement fan room today- somebody had painted little diagrams on the various branching ducts. What I love is that the little vignettes are both poetic AND functional- they tell you which direction the air is moving, whether it is hot or cold, etc. The building is from the 1920s, and the ductwork is probably original.
