Spring 2021 Outage Season: Inspections and NDE in High Demand

Due to maintenance outages scheduled for 2020 being cancelled and/or rescheduled we are seeing an increased demand for field services, NDE and drone inspections. In addition to the number of outages increase is being created by multiple unit, simultaneous outages in some cases. In other cases multiple unit outages are being scheduled sequentially, thus lengthening the outage season.

Additionally, more and more utilities are utilizing our drone inspection services during short, economic outages for cursory inspections in specific areas. This is a tremendous tool for outage planning. Identifying specific maintenance needs as well as logistical requirements such a scaffolding improves outage efficiency.

With this said, our Spring 2021 schedule is filling quickly. Whether you need specific nondestructive evaluation, drone inspections for confined spaces or a full boiler inspection, UDC is the inspection company. Whether you have conventional, coal or NG fired boilers or HRSG units we can help.
