🚨 Traffic Alert – Vehicle Accident 🚨

Hernando County Fire Rescue crews are currently on scene of a vehicle accident at Mariner Boulevard and Cortez Boulevard.

Motorists are advised to use caution when traveling through the area and expect possible delays while emergency personnel work to assist those involved and clear the roadway.

Please consider using an alternate route if possible and slow down when approaching the scene for the safety of first responders and those involved in the incident.

🚨 Brush Fire Alert 🚨

Hernando County Fire Rescue crews are currently on scene of a brush fire in the area of Langworthy Drive and Rester Street.

Please use caution if traveling in the area and be alert for emergency vehicles. Smoke may be visible from nearby roadways.

Crews are actively working to contain the fire. Updates will be provided as additional information becomes available.

Tuesday afternoon, HCFR responded to TGH Brooksville helipad to establish a landing zone for a stroke patient. Med-Trans - Florida was activated and responded to assist with transport. The patient was then taken to a comprehensive stroke center by air for treatment.

Monday afternoon, June 22nd just before 3pm, Station 8, Brush 7 and Battalion Chief 3 responded to the intersection of Glenchester Drive and Batesfield Street in Webster for a brush fire. Crews arrived on scene to find approximately 2 acres of brush on fire, with homes surrounding the lot. Florida Forest Service - Withlacoochee Forestry Center was called to the scene to assist with a dozer. The fire was quickly brought under control, and the scene has been turned over to Florida Forest Service to determine the cause. No injuries reported and no structures were damaged.

Hernando County Fire Rescue crews are on scene of a brush fire in the area of Glenchester Drive and Field. The fire is estimated at approximately 2–3 acres. Forestry resources are en route to assist with containment efforts.

Residents in the area may see smoke and emergency vehicles. Please use caution and avoid the area if possible to allow crews room to work safely.
