Mountain side ➡️ Barn pad

We took this unusable hillside and gave it a massive facelift and turned it into something that can be used and enjoyed for many years to come. 12 foot tall wall and about 48 blocks to stabilize the hill and all the dirt went to the other side of the driveway for a very nice size parking area. I really enjoy challenging jobs like this one. If you have a piece of property that you would like to transform give us a call.

This fall we filled in a little under a one acre pond with a giant dam on it for a customer. Tons and tons of dirt moved to create a useable backyard area for the little ones. This barn pad here was a tight fight….especially after we found a large cistern that had to be filled and partially broke down. If you look at the aerial picture you can see we squeezed it in 35ft. from the road, 20ft. from the mainline power line, 10ft. from the service power line, and right next to the abandoned cistern. All in all it turned out really nice. Also, Tyler Owens shot a little footage with his drone that will be down in the comments.

I’m terrible about keeping up posting my jobs on here so here comes a couple posts lol. On this job we showed up to a pond that had been drained about 3 years ago. The customer wanted as much muck cleaned out as possible, get the dam patched back, and put a waterline through the dam for a cattle waterer. Ideally we would have opened the dam up and pushed all the sludge out but that wasn’t in the budget and since it had sat empty for so long scooping it out worked pretty well.

PSA - If you care about your pond don’t let cattle near it. They had the original dam on one side walked down into the pond more than 3 feet. Before you know it they will have it destroyed.

Back in May I had the opportunity to dig a basement and foundation for a new construction build. I just recently was able to go back and complete all of the finish grade around the house and it turned out great. I am thankful for the opportunity to be apart of your build Martin.
