Groundwater Consulting's most recent project connects leading organizations in the youth space with an expert in brain science and youth behavior. To grow the knowledge of the youth program grantees supported by MCCOY (Marion County Commission on Youth) and Indiana Department of Education, we are bringing in none other than THE Revelations in Education I Dr. Lori Desautels! Before parenting, coaching, teaching, leading or interacting with youth in any way, PLEASE do the work to unpack your own trauma and understand how it shows up for you, especially in triggering situations. Then learn to regulate yourself in those moments. A child's safety or life very well may depend on it.

This year’s theme invites participants to inhabit spaces of love, inspiration, and hope alongside uncertainty as we shift our collective minds toward an uncertain yet improvable future. As we move toward hope and a better tomorrow we have high expectations of mapping out inclusive societal structures that we all need to improve our frameworks to make institutionalism equitable. We have invited the top experts in their fields to bridge these gaps. Cross-movement solidarities and collective approaches to social change will lead the foreground toward a more intersectional-feminist lens.
Drawing on the foundational work of feminists and intersectionalism and other proponents of radical movements of hope, we will investigate how to end Systemic Oppression (policies and law), what is Reproductive Justice, and finally What's Next, and Where We Go From Here.

May you find love today for the most important relationship, the one with yourself. Give love to yourself, your friends and family, your partner and your community. And if you are lucky enough to receive that love back, please remember that feeling and do your part in supporting equality of that opportunity all year round. ❤️ You are loved. You are worthy. We know that Black families have to LIVE it from a very early age. We know that as early as 6 MONTHS babies recognize race.
We know that by 5 YRS children are making choice based on race.
THE LEAST we can do is TALK ABOUT IT.
