Today, we celebrate the fathers who lead both at home and in their communities.

For those in public safety, fatherhood often means balancing long hours, missed milestones, difficult calls, and the responsibility of serving others while striving to be fully present for the people who matter most.

Leadership doesn't end when the shift does. In many ways, the lessons that matter most are taught around the dinner table, on the sidelines, during bedtime stories, and in the everyday moments that shape the next generation.

To all the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, mentors, and father figures in our Command Presence family—thank you for the example you set through your service, your sacrifice, and your commitment to leading with integrity.

Growth happens in two different modes. Wandering means staying open to ideas, perspectives, and experiences that don't have an obvious payoff yet. Focus means narrowing in on the work that does.

A lot of leaders get stuck in one or the other. They stay so heads-down they stop learning, or so curious they never ship anything. Knowing which mode the moment calls for is most of the work.
