ATTENTION ALL AFFILIATE CLUBS HOSTING AGILITY TRIALS - please alert the trial secretaries and/or anyone sanctioning agility trials of the information below!!
The June 1st rule changes included a requirement to submit a Course Designer (CD) template of the trial facility with the sanctioning paperwork. This template will replace the hand drawn diagram previously submitted with the sanctioning form.
The CD template must include the following:
1. Ring dimensions and grid lines the facility uses. Include approximate areas of the entrance/exit gates and any unusable space (poles/storage area).
2. A complete list of all ASCA approved obstacles available for use at the trial (number of jumps/width/winged/non/ # of tunnels and length/Aframe height, etc.).
3. A list of the classes offered each day. The anticipated run order is preferred so judges can nest their courses when designing.
4. Any other notes such as a request for center line coordinates for setting courses, limited number of tunnel supports that may only provide securing X number of tunnels, etc.
*NOTE* only the type equipment listed on the template has to match what is on the premium. For example, the premium does not have to include the number of jumps and tunnels, only that winged or non-winged jumps, tunnels, tire and double jump, type of contacts & A frame height, etc. will be available for use.
The template sent to the office must be in the .agl file format in the CD version 3. Please do not submit a pdf or .bmp version of the template. This template will be forwarded, by the ASCA business office, to the judge of record and the assigned course reviewer.
We have numerous agility committee members available to assist with the design of the template. Please send the club's name, equipment list, arena ring specs (size/grid lines/gates/unusable area), classes offered and other notes you would like to include.
Please reach out to any of the individuals below for assistance.
