Meet our Board Member! Dwayne Kurecka, Texas Custom Signs.
My wife, Sherri, and I live in the Hill Country in Spicewood, and we are proud native Texans. Our two grown children also reside in the Austin area. After graduating from Sam Houston State University, I began my career with Enterprise Rent‑A‑Car in Dallas, ultimately spending 21 years with the company and finishing my tenure as an executive responsible for the Eastern Kansas and Western Missouri operations headquartered in Kansas City.
My transition into the sign industry began shortly thereafter. I owned a sign company in Kansas City for several years and had the privilege of serving on both the Kansas and Missouri sign association boards. When our daughter graduated from high school, we knew it was time to return home to Texas. After selling my company, I was fortunate to reconnect with Mark Granberry, which led to an opportunity with GSG as the sign territory manager responsible for opening the Central and South Texas markets.
That role introduced me to Kevin Hull at Texas Custom Signs, which eventually led me to join the company in 2018 as Vice President, where I continue to serve today.
I have a deep appreciation for the sign industry and the people who make it exceptional. It is an honor to serve on the TSA Board of Directors and to support the continued growth and success of our industry across Texas.
I am truly grateful for the opportunities this profession has given me, and the business connections and friends that I have made in the sign industry.
