So, it's been a while since I've posted on this page, well, I'll be making up for that now because this will be a LONG one. It's been a crazy couple of years... shortly after having Caroline (baby #3), we had a house fire. The house was still standing, but had to be gutted and cleaned of damage, then completely re-done inside.
During this time, all of our belongings (including all of the supplies I use for furniture and crafting) that could be salvaged, were taken to storage. We were out of our home for about a year and a half, then came the insanity of moving back in with construction still going on (that's another story) and trying to sort through the deliveries of our items that came in no particular order or organization.
I really had zero creative energy, and any that I did muster went into trying to make our house a home again. I am finally getting to a point where I am almost finished with our house and have been taking on small projects for friends and family. The biggest is for a family friend who is hosting her daughter's wedding next month.
It started with a request to find a cool chandelier for the barn, and has turned into designing lighting for the barn, tents, and grounds. And updating her house for the guests that will be staying with them before the wedding. This has been a fun challenge as she is on a tight budget with 2 weddings in one year. So, the next few posts will be about her house and the various projects. Once this project is complete, I will get back into posting projects a bit more regularly.
First up, some photos of an old floor that I painted. Most of the floors have been re-finished, but funds ran out before tackling this art room turned guest room. I painted the floor with porch paint and then added a stencil that goes with the bedding we found for a daybed that I am painting.
